The Squirrel Monkey is a small species that is about 12 inches tall. They typically don’t weigh more than 2 pounds. They can run very fast and are often mistaken for squirrels as they do so. These monkeys live in tropical areas and around swamps. They prefer warm climates.
The Squirrel Monkey enjoys the many types of fruits that grow seasonally in their habitat. They will move around to take advantage of them. They will also eat leaves and insects. You will find them mainly living around the areas of Costa Rica and Panama. They live in groups of the same gender.
