Sea Turtle

Sea Turtle Facts

Sea Turtles are marine reptiles found in all oceans of the world except for the polar regions.
There are seven living species of sea turtles being the best known, the green sea turtle, the loggerhead turtle, the leatherback turtle and the Kemp’s Ridley turtle.

Sea turtles spend most of their lives submerged, but they must reach the surface to breathe oxygen in a quick exchange of air from their lungs. They can dive up to 5 minutes before breathing.

Sea turtles reproduce by making nests in the beach sand where they deposit their eggs at night.
