Myocastor coypus

The Coypu or Nutria is a type for semi aquatic rodent. They can live on land as well but they do spend most of their time in the water. They may be domesticated for their fur too and grown in captivity to offer a product as there is a huge demand for it.

The Coypu or Nutria is large and so it is often mistaken for either a rat or a beaver. They may weigh up to 20 pounds and be about 24 inches in length. However, the size will vary based on their location. The tail of this create may be up to 16 inches.
