Moose Calves

Alces alces

The Moose is a very large animal that are very graceful in their movements. This is the largest species of the deer family. They can be as tall as 7 feet and they can weigh more than 1,500 pounds. Their size will vary though based on the region where they live.

The Moose are timid and shy but they shouldn’t be underestimated. When they feel that they may be threatened they can be very aggressive. The antlers that are commonly seen on the Moose will only grow on the mature males. As they get older the antlers will become wider and spread out.
