Aptenodytes patagonicus

The King Penguin is the second largest species of all. They weigh from 25 to 35 pounds are they are approximately 3 feet tall. They consume a variety of small fish and squid. They are able to dive more than 980 feet deep into the water to find food.

The King PenguinĀ  has a long slender body that is white on the front, black on the back, and they have bright yellow on the neck and the bill. These penguins enjoy socializing and live in groups. However, they also have a very complex hierarchy among them that can change based on their living conditions.
