The Kangaroo is a large mammal with very large feet and a great deal of power behind it. They have a powerful tail as well that helps them to stay balanced. They are able to leap many feet at once. They are native to various areas around Australia. They eat a variety of grass and plants.
The Kangaroo is well known for offering a pouch on its middle section where their young will be kept safe. The young Kangaroo is known as a Joey. They take very good care of their young and the females can become extremely aggressive in order to protect them. They can be up to 6 ½ feet tall and weigh close to 200 pounds.
