Rhinoceros unicornis
The Indian Rhinoceros is a very large gray animal that is often killed for the ivory horn that grows out of the middle of the head. They are powerful animals with short legs but they can move quickly when they need to.
The Indian Rhinoceros can be from 5 to 6 feet tall and 12 feet long. They can weigh several tons but it will vary based on location. Due to the hunting for their horns the Indian Rhinoceros is currently considered to be endangered. They are ranked as the #4 largest land animal in the world.
