Gorillas are mammals and the largest of the living primates.

Gorillas’ closest relatives are humans and chimpanzees, having a DNA as much as 98% similar to that of humans.
Gorillas are caring mothers and infants stay with their mothers for three to four years.
Gorilla lifespan ranges from thirty to fifty years.
