Puma concolor
The Cougar is a wild cat that is very strong and extremely fast. It is know by other names too including the mountain lion and the puma. This is a solitary cat with very sharp teeth and it is a great hunter. It is highly adaptable so it is found in several types of environments.
They Cougar often takes down large mammals and will feed on it for several days. In many regions the conflicts with it and humans continue. The Cougar may be coming close to livestock or family pets as a means of survival due to habitat destruction. They can weigh up to 200 pounds.
