Whales are aquatic
mammals that belong to the order Cetacea.
Whales are the largest animals in the world, in particular, the
Blue Whale , is the largest animal ever to have
lived in the planet, larger even than the largest dinosaur known.
Cetaceans are divided in two suborders, Baleen Whales and Toothed
Whales.
Baleen whales have a special feeding system which let them filter out from
water plankton and small crustaceans, like krill.
Toothed whales are carnivorous and feed from fishes, squid and even small
mammals.
