Sea Lions are marine mammals which belong to the superfamily Pinnipeds or
fin-footed-mammals, like the walrus and the seals.
Sea lions live in most oceans of
the world with the exception of the Atlantic Ocean, ranging from subarctic waters to tropical
waters.
The best known species of sea
lions are the California Sea Lion, the Galapagos Sea Lion and the Steller Sea
Lion.
Sea lions feed on a wide variety
of seafood like squid, fish and clam.
Sea lions are characterized for
having external ears, larges frontal flippers and because they can walk on land using their four
flippers.
