Killer Whales also known as Orcas are aquatic mammals found in all the world’s
oceans.
Orcas are the largest species of
the Dolphin (Delphinidae) family and they belong to the Odontoceti suborder, meaning that they are
toothed whales.
Killer whales are well know
because they beautiful black and white appearance.
Orcas are apex predators and they
feed from several species of fish and marine mammals like sea lions, seals, walruses and even some
baleen whales. Their diet is easily adapted to the habitat in which they are living in a particular
moment.
Killer whales have a very
sophisticated social structure for living and hunting.
